What we are here is the Creative Arts Community and so that encompasses all of the fields where students can take their passion and create a career from that passion.
We have everything from theatre and music to mass media, recording arts, social media, graphic design, web design, animation, and our new motion picture production and film performance programs.
We have award-winning student media outlets. We have a 100,000-watt radio station and a television station. And the thing that all of our programs have in common is they're all very interactive and hands-on.
I think the music program at Amarillo College is actually a great fit for a wide range of students. We have opportunities for music majors and non-music majors.
We have a ton of concerts going on throughout the year. And then we also have lessons that students can take directly in their instrument or voice type of choice with our outstanding faculty.
The one-to-one experience, my classes are typically around 12 students or so, the ability to have that at Amarillo College is just it's so invaluable.
People have gone on to university, they always come back and they're like, "We got such a great experience such a great foundation from our, you know, two years here."
