Here at Amarillo College, we really want to help you understand exactly what it is that you need to do to get your financial aid started. In our Financial Aid office, we don't require you to have an appointment. If you want to come in and visit with one of our financial aid team, you can come in sign in and we'll be able to assist you that same day.
One of the great things about Amarillo College is that we have a Foundation office that oversees many many scholarships. And what you can do is you can fill out one application and that one application is going to check your eligibility for the scholarships that the Foundation offers. We try to encourage students to complete both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the Amarillo College Foundation application at the same time so that they're benefiting from the federal aid, the state aid, and scholarship assistance all at once.
Amarillo College is a great value for you. You can get your Associate's degree here for a really reasonable, affordable price. And the great thing about Amarillo College is we typically can assist students to pay for their tuition and fees through grants, scholarships, and state aid-- so that you don't have to take out a student loan while you're here and save that for when you go on to the university. We also have many of the wonderful programs that are offered at your traditional four-year universities so you won't be missing out on anything while still being able to have that great value that's offered at Amarillo College.
