Application Part 2

All students will receive an acceptance letter that provides guidance on how to set up the student online account in AC Connect. So once you've created your online account, you'll begin to receive communications from us if you have additional missing admissions items.

So this could be proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination. If you've attended a previous institution, we may request your college transcript as well as your TSI test scores.

In order for transcripts to be submitted correctly, you have to make contact with our Registrar's office. What you would do is contact the institution that you're transferring from and have them sent directly to us. It is extremely important that you not open those transcripts or they are not official.

So after you have been accepted to Amarillo College, the next thing you want to do is schedule your MAP session and then your TSI.

Once you have your test scores, then it's time for you to make an appointment to see an Advisor to get registered for your classes. It's extremely important that you get your materials turned in in a timely fashion so that we can pick classes that fit your schedule and your life.

Also, you want to make sure that payment is secure. I would hate for your classes to be dropped because you forgot to make a payment or neglected to turn in important documentation. The FAFSA is important in order to secure your payment, you want to apply for FAFSA as soon as possible so that we have enough time to get it processed.

All students are required to take a New Student Orientation unless they have more than 24 credit hours. And the New Student Orientations are offered in the summer and throughout the year. The student ID will be given to the student after they're registered in classes and you will have to come to campus in order to get that ID printed.

If you have additional questions feel free to contact Ask AC in person, by phone, or chat with us online.
