There are four different liberal arts programs to choose from here at Amarillo College and that include English, Social Sciences, Psychology, and Religion.
Psychology helps provide a foundation both for psychology and for social work. This program in psychology will provide you with important theoretical background, research background-- for continuing at the Bachelor's level and the Master's level.
The Writer's Corner is a tutorial service for writing. That's the main writing tutorial service at the school. The tutors are student tutors. They're students who have gone through our classes so students can go by and get direct help and they really know what they're doing. They're really tuned in to the school.
A liberal arts foundation is a wonderful background, to begin with. It gives you all kinds of skills that carry over into further education and into employment. Students learn skills of critical thinking, logical analysis. A liberal arts education enables them to think for themselves and think critically.
