Thrive

If you are an Amarillo ISD student or a recent AISD grad, I highly encourage you to pursue the Thrive scholarship. The Thrive scholarship covers 60 credit hours or three years for any student regardless of what program they're interested in at Amarillo College, and that scholarship covers tuition, fees, and books at 100% of the cost.

Amarillo College has a very unique opportunity through the Thrive scholarship program. Once they've been identified by Amarillo Independent School District, they are then sent over to us and we here at AC work on getting them enrolled in their classes and making sure that they have appropriate funding.

Thrive is the last dollar in so they do have to apply for financial aid. So in order to be eligible for the Thrive scholarship, you have to graduate from Amarillo Independent School District and maintain an 80 GPA throughout your high school time and meet the state-required attendance component.

A student's family income has no impact on whether or not they are eligible for the Thrive scholarship. As long as they complete the requirements on the Amarillo ISD side and then on the Amarillo College side, their family's income does not change whether or not they're eligible for the Thrive scholarship.
